Inspired by Earthships, we envision a type of settlement, in which people can live sustainably, together and fullfilled.
We are a community, that intends to realise a settlement according to those principles in or nearby Erlangen, Germany.
Currently we stand at the end of an identification stage and present our main concept on this website.

We have been inspired by Earthships — these are buildings that can be constructed and run very resource-efficiently. Also, Earthships are nice to look at.
We like to live in a community. We picture this like an extended family, that lives in good neighbourhood with many points of contact.
We look for a site within 15km from Erlangen, which is large enough for our settlement project, we estimate between 5 000 and 10 000 square meters, thus half a hectare to one hectare.
The layout of the settlement is not yet fixed. We have worked out two concepts, which can be adapted to local conditions.
Our primary focus is on environmental friendlyness and on communal habitation. In addition to the operational phase, also the building and the removal phases of the buldings shall be considered within our concepts and the choice of materials.
Primarily, we trust on the capability of the community, consisiting of its people and its inherent contents, to succeed in consensually sorting out their affairs in both good times and bad.
We differentiate in an inital and a maintenance phase. In the initial phase, funding is mainly needed for purchase of land, ...
We intend to engange in a public discourse with our settlement project to contribute to developping and spreading a form of settlement which allows the people to live together, sustainably and fulfilled. Of course, we want to keep a balance between this intention and our privacy.
Currenty we are at the end of an identification phase and have completed our basic concept. The next steps ahead of us are to introduce ourselves to the public at large, to grow in number and to elaborate on the detailed concept.
